Ordering & Cubby House FAQ

SITE PREPARATION: If you have employed Cubby Co. to install your cubby we will require the site to be clear and level before we attend. If you are installing yourself our cubbies are treated so they can be placed directly onto soil, grass, paving , astro turf.

ORDERING AND PRICING: All quoting and orders can be placed directly from our website

CUBBY SIZES: click on the cubby of your choice and in the description field you will find the dimensions for each model, this will be total footprint. (For most models the front veranda is 600mm). models with side decks can be switched to opposite side if needed.

FOOTINGS: our cubbies are specially design so they do not require concrete footings and are free standing, if you want to add concrete footings you can do so when you D.I.Y

TURNAROUND TIMES: usually 2 weeks, during our peak period SEPTEMBER TO DECEMBER can get to 4 -5 weeks. We will update our website when we can no longer take orders for Christmas on our home page.

PAINTING: all our cubbies come in a treated raw timber finish, we leave the painting and decorating to you to give your cubby your own personal touch. Painting not only looks great but is a crucial part of timber maintenance and we strongly recommend this is done within  4-6 weeks of installation.

TREATED TIMBER: all our timbers are treated in either LOSP, ACQ or MicroPro which are child friendly and to Australian Standards. the treatment protects from rot and white ants.

COUNCIL REQUIREMENTS: The Cubby Co. takes no responsibility for council approval, this is your responsibility as each council varies. So please check with them before installing your cubby. It is always best to consult your neighbours as this is who will be affected by the build.

HOW TO COLLECT: we recommend a trailer without a cage, bring a couple of timbers with you when you pickup and we will load your cubby kit on top of your trailer. Don’t forget straps to tie down.

WHAT IS CERTEGY EZI-PAY EXPRESS: A continuing credit payment plan that lets you purchase goods or services today, by paying an initial deposit, with the remaining balance being conveniently direct debited fortnightly. There is a simple application, no invasive questions and fast approval times. Best of all there is No Interest Ever!

WHAT ARE THE SETUP FEES AND CHARGES FOR A CERTEGY EZI-PAY EXPRESS PLAN: When you make your initial purchase, Certegy Ezi-Pay will open an Account for you. With this initial purchase, you will pay an establishment fee between $35 and $90 to set up your Account, which is payable over the term of the purchase. The Account will provide you access to online information about your purchase(s), credit schedule(s), access to our 1800 customer call in facility and other benefits. There is a monthly account keeping fee of $3.50 which will be direct debited whilst your Account remains active.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER CHARGES: There is a $2.95 payment processing fee to process each repayment. Please remember that your payment plan has No Interest Ever! Please refer to the “Terms and Conditions” in store for further details. There will also be a merchant fee that Cubby Co. will clearly demonstrate on your individual quote.

ARE THERE ONGOING MONTHLY FEES PAYABLE: Yes. Please read your Certegy Ezi-Pay continuing credit agreement carefully which outlines all fees and charges payable along with frequency, throughout your purchase term. There is a monthly account keeping fee of $3.50 which will be direct debited while your Account remains active.

WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY FOR A PAYMENT PLAN: Full time employment, Bank account for Direct Debit and Drivers Licence. You will need to bring this info to The Cubby Co to view your identification and obtain your signature. If you are not able to make it into our workshop or are regional, you simply pay your deposit and we will mail you the forms to complete, our identification form will need to signed by your local police station and then all forms posted back

CAN I MAKE MULTIPLE PURCHASES: Yes, additional transactions are possible as your available credit increases inline with the repayment calculation detailed within the “Terms and Conditions”. Your online Account enables you to keep track of your available credit as you make repayments. An additional purchase fee of $22.00 is payable over the purchase repayment period for additional purchases.

CAN I PAY MY CONTINUING CREDIT ACCOUNT OUT EARLY: Yes. You can payout the outstanding balance of the continuing credit account inclusive of any fees and charges on any day you wish. Your available credit will remain active for a period of up to 12 months. Ongoing Account keeping fees will apply while your continuing credit account is active. You can re-draw from the available credit for additional purchases at any time while your continuing credit account remains active.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT THE PAYOUT FIGURE: You can write to Certegy Ezi-Pay at any time via the contact us enquiry page and request for a statement of the payout figure as at any date you specify. Certegy Ezi-Pay will provide you this figure within 2 business days.

WHAT DO I DO IF I CANNOT MAKE A REPAYMENT: Contact Certegy Ezi-Pay immediately to discuss the matter via the contact us enquiry page.

CAN CERTEGY EZI-PAY TAKE ACTION AGAINST ME: Yes, if you are in default under your purchase agreement, Certegy Ezi-Pay may take action against you to recover any amounts outstanding. Additional fees and charges may be payable in the event action is required.

CAN I CLOSE MY ACCOUNT AND ARE THERE ANY CHARGES? Once your purchase(s) have been paid in full and your Account balance is zero, you can cancel via written notice to Certegy Ezi-Pay or via your online Account. There are NO additional fees for closing your Account or paying out early.

IF I PAY A DEPOSIT, AM I GUARANTEED AN APPROVAL: Paying a deposit directly to the merchant won’t always guarantee a Certegy Ezi-Pay payment plan being approved however Certegy and your chosen merchant will work together to process your application fairly and approve where ever possible. Your Certegy Ezi-Pay payment plan will be confirmed to you via writing once the required signed paperwork is received, verified and accepted by Certegy Ezi-Pay.
